The DRX-750 will blueprint an engine block faster and more accurately than the competition. CENTROID has made advancements to the machine, the block fixturing and the CNC control that allow you to produce accurate race winning cylinder blocks quickly and easily.
Huge time savings in blueprinting and setup with CENTROID's patented electronic touch probe which will determine the locations, diameters and angle of any feature on the block.Unique to this machine is its ultra accurate rotary table electronic position confirmation. This allows you to rotate the block anyway and anytime and be confident that you can position the block exactly where you want it.

Block Blueprinting and ProbingBlueprinting any block begins by making very accurate measurements of the existing features so corrections can be made. The old way of laborious manual measurement has been eliminated. The CENTROID DRX-750 block machine can be equipped with a high tech digitizing probe which will automatically locate and measure cylinder bores (diameters, locations and angles), deck heights, lifter bores and more!. To measure an entire block, simply choose the features to blueprint, move the machine to that location and the probe measures the block and displays the actual diameters and positions of the cylinder bores (and other features) you can then compare it to the factory specs. The operator then chooses to make any modifications necessary. The CENTROID DP-4 Probe is a state of the art, made-in-USA highly precise probe which can detect in all axis and directions. Since the probe is made by CENTROID the entire probing system is integrated and streamlined into the DRO, making block probing a quick and simple process. |

Simple probing with touch-screen DROWith the CENTROID touch probe, part and fixture setup has never been easier or more accurate on a manual machine. The DRO's canned probing cycles allow you to quickly find bore centers, measure deck heights, verify deck angles, and more. Probe with DRO dramatically increases speed and precision of block setup, blueprinting, and machining. The combination of CNC-like capabilities in and easy-to-use manual machine allows you to quickly produce CNC-quality blocks. |

Engine Block SurfacingWith a quick push button tool change the machine will surface the block to the exact deck height specified. The probe automatically detects the block existing surface height at multiple locations so the operator can choose the proper surface depth to machine to for a perfectly flat and square deck to the cylinder bore. Specialized block surfacing tooling is included which produces incredibly smooth surfaces for superior gasket performance. |

4-Bolt Main Bearing Cap ConversionThe best way to accurately convert a block to 4 bolt mains. The digital read out shows the tool position so you can check your work as you go. Position the block at any angle with the CNC rotary table which remembers the programmed angles and will repeat to that position with a button press. Angle drilling and tapping are perfect for 4-bolt main conversions. |

Cylinder Bore ChamferingSimple positioning of chamfer tool allows the operator to machine chamfers perfectly concentric with bore, to precise uniform depth on all cylinders. |

O-Ring Grooving*Add O-ring grooves the deck of any block. The operator can easily change o-ring diameter, depth and width. DRO position read out ensures accurate positioning. * O-ring tooling is optional. |
